1/30/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: Upon arrival to the setting, JaCaeri gets frustrated when he cannot take a break and displays undesirable outbursts (i.e. frowning his face and stomping). JaCaeri is observed displaying impulsive behaviors by running around the house at which mother reports behaviors last up to 20 minutes in duration. Behavior: JaCaeri appeared to be upset with QMHP-C and mother when discussing behaviors as he would close his ears with behaviors lasting for 3-5 minutes while session was being conducted. Intervention: QMHP-C utilized age appropriate mood regulation skills and techniques, as a way to help JaCaeri’s destructive and critical demeanor, as well as to assist him with regaining and regulating his uncontrollable conduct. QMHP-C encouraged JaCaeri to be mindful of others personal space. QMHP-C encouraged JaCaeri to refrain from displaying negative behaviors towards his mom, to talk calmly and express himself without aggression. Intervention: QMHP-C demonstrated and provided positive empathetic acceptance while utilizing talk therapy and active listening skills to enhance self-esteem and confidence. QMHP-C reemphasized with JaCaeri about the basics of treating others respectfully and focusing on treating others the way he would want to be treated. Response: JaCaeri was not in a good mood at this time. JaCaeri had difficulty relaxing and following QMHP-C prompts. JaCaeri continued aggressive behaviors. JaCaeri did not extend a sociable rapport back to the QMHP-C. JaCaeri required redirecting from QMHP-C to reduce his voice volume 2-3 times. JaCaeri self-esteem and confidence remained low. JaCaeri continued to display hyperactive behaviors for 30-40 minutes prior to decreasing them. JaCaeri required to be re-focused by QMHP-C as he waited for his mom to speak. Response: JaCaeri communicated understanding by nodding his head. JaCaeri acknowledged that he tends to engage in disruptive behavior when he begins to become frustrated with schoolwork. JaCaeri accepted responsibility for his angry outbursts and aggressive behaviors. JaCaeri stated he will display anger control and not threaten or intimidate others. Mom was satisfied with the interventions that was provided to JaCaeri and agreed to the next session with the QMHP-C.
